Waiawi Naturals for a Holistic Approach to Saving the Sub-tropical Forests of Hawaii

Waiawi (pronounced Why-we) is the Hawaiian word for Strawberry Guava. Waiawi is an important ingredient in all of Waiawi Naturals organic charity products. The different types of Waiawi trees, grow wild all over Hawaii as a pest. The Waiawis are beautiful lush and fruitful trees native to South America and grow naturally in Amazon Rain-forest. Waiawi Naturals now is putting the troubled tree to use, as an exfoliant, natural scent, color and rejuvenatory ingredient.The Waiawi is one of the biggest problem to Hawaii's National Parks and Rainforest's, not only is the Waiawi a problem in Hawaii since it is a fast growing tree with plentiful amounts of fruit a few times a year it has spread rapidly on the Island of Tasmania, and in New Zealand, the African Islands of Reunion, Mauritius and also The Seychellean Isles. The Waiawi uses more water resources than many native plants but if that was not enough it also changes the soil chemistry so few other plants can grow near the Waiawi trees.

With the beautiful Waiawi trees being both popular among people, birds and other animals like pigs it spreads fast and have since 1825 been free to flourish all over Hawaii, with Waiawi Naturals this is about to change, by harvesting it we could bring in money to find ways to handle the problem, and at the same time by cutting down and removing seeds from the areas it would slow it down.
